Interesting. From my perspective as a European, most conspiracy theories I hear seem to revolve around (or originate from) the United States of America. Flat earth, Illuminati, lizard people, microchips in vaccines, crazy new cults (as opposed to the crazy 'old' cults of Europe), the stuff 'Oh No, Ross and Carrie!' cover... All that stuff appears very USA-centric to me.
As for that... "idea" about English: If the English language really made/kept people dumb and impotent, the nations most affected by it would be those using it as their first language - like the colonizers themselves. :)
In my experience every naturally developed language has terms and concepts that do not exist 'exactly like that' in other languages. And every language has a few things that do not make sense. Sometimes those things are more prominent. The French for instance assign 'genders' to inanimate objects. And so do the Germans. Do you want to take a wild guess whether the French and the German gender assignments match each other?
That professor literally things that language has frequency and we can materialize stuff just saying stuff because the Bible said; "God is within us," completely disregarding that the Bible uses figurative language. By that logic, she believes that when we say the word "nice" it means "stupid" because that was the old French definition and "family" means "slaves" because of that same logic. She completely disregards how language can change and evolve overtime and believes that Latin is root of English, even though English has more Germanic roots. Basically she's a nutcase. This is honestly this most batshit insane conspiracy I have heard, and it doesn't help that she's one of those spirituality morons.
