Concerns on roblox

Posted by SporgyTheMenace - February 28th, 2024

So Roblox has a massive pedophile problem, and a nine-year-old cousin of mine plays it and she started to dress her avatar in a rather inappropriate way, I try to convince to change it, but she's so stubborn and refuses. I honestly not sure what to do because she lives out of state and if I try to tell her parents, they literally couldn't understand because they don't speak or understand English. And then she tells me because "it matches with my friend," which makes me even more concerned cause now I think that she's being groomed.

What should I do lads?

Call the police in her state or something, dude. Best get on it anyway you can before it gets out of hand.

I'm not sure if that's the right solution currently, because she does a friend group comprised of kids from school(I hope it's kids from school), she also says that; "it also matches with my sister." I don't want to get law enforcement involved in something that could a huge misunderstanding. The whole grooming concerns is a possibility that someone or people in her friend should be on a watch list.

I think I need more information, but I don't know how to retrieve anymore because she refuses to respond or cooperate my concerns over her.

@SporgyTheMenace Again, any competent police would be able to determine whether you're over-thinking it or not. Better safe than sorry, especially when concerning kids of her age.

Ok, I got some more information about this and it was actually her older sister's idea, who is going to be in high school next year. So I think calling the police is unnecessary and all I have to do now is a least reason or convince them to change it so they won't get targeted by the wrong people.

Thank you for your concerns and suggestions, dude and thank God it was nothing serious.

@SporgyTheMenace Of course! Not a problem. I'm also glad it was nothing serious but it never hurts to be careful.
